There are several good physiology text books each with its strengths and weaknesses. I like this one best - it is well rounded and gives precise explanations of human physiology.

Robbins Pathology Robbins Pathologic Basis of Disease
Too detailed for most medical students, but if you have a any interest in Pathology this would be your best choice. Beautifully illustrated! If you are looking for something shorter,  go for the "Baby Robbins" or even the "Fetal Robbins".

Voet's Biochemistry Voet's Biochemistry
It's a "toss-up" between Stryer and Voet. Stryer is "the classic", Voet is a bit more modern with emphasis on biochemical reactions. This is the stuff life is made from! Best choice for students who want to grasp biochemistry, not just pass the exams.

Kaplan Textbook of Psychiatry Comprehensive Textbook of Psychiatry
7th edition January 2000. Like the title says: it's comprehensive. Highly recommended if you have any intellectual interest in the mind and its diseases. If not, get the "Baby Kaplan".
