There are some states that require step 3 to be taken and passed within a 7 year limit. My question is that if you are in a residency program that is in a state with that limit, can you apply for step 3 in another state (like florida) with laxed rules? Or is it that if you are in a residency program in a particular state you would have to take step 3 in that state ?
My second question is that is their any appeal process for exceeding the 7 year limit. If you take step 3 after the 7 year limit and THEN apply for the licensure exam, they can reject you since they themselves have limits on attempts as well.
I prematched at a program that has this "limit" both for step 3 and the initial licensure. If i dont pass step 3 within the 7 year limit (which is this may) then the prematch is worthless....correct? or is there some appeals process....
