its definitely not the hardest, true there are vague questions, the problem is that so many people trust Kaplan and Conrad Fischers teaching, and then they all fail. You must supplement, or go away completely from Kaplan is the best thing. Premier Review is the best for medicine, which is USUALLY but not always the bulk of the examination, and supplement with ck notes for surgery, trauma, Ob Gyn and Peds, please stay away from step 3 kaplan materials, they are horrendous. A group of us are considering filing legal action against Fisher and Kaplan company for medical negligence, in other words they are too shallow knowledge wise to teach USMLE material.
