Hello everyone, i was a regular , mostly silent visitor of this forum, but now i just wanted to share my step 3 experience, may be that might help some of people here.
I took my test in may and got my result sometime ago and passed and surprisingly got a score much more than i expected.
I am internal medicine resident and studied for about 3 weeks seriously , "with tension",but the bad or not so good part was that i did not familiarise myself with CCS soft ware , I was overly confident.
Test wise , i would say , questions were just ok, if you have done USMLE WORLD, that should give you enough confidence. Anyways you would never know , how you did in about 350 questions.
CCS , i thought , i really messed up, my 4 cases did not finish, 2 did not improve, although i knew the diagnosis, gave right treatment, but since i wasnt familiar with software, didnot advance clock properly.2 cases were getting better, but they didnt finish, 5 I think finished good, before time.
Most of my fellow residents who took the test, finished their cases before time, so i was nervous about that.
But ultimately , i believe , overall performance matteres and my score bar was good for CCS.
Overall this test is hust more of marathon, just looong, but not that tough, anybody who has cleared step 1 and 2 will do it, just stay cool.
