Unstable angina: Catheterization i.e. per cutaneous intervention
Stable angina: Stress test; depending on findings further intervention - if patient can't complete the stress test because of angina or significant EKG changes then immediate Catheterization. If pt. can complete the test but has EKG findings for ischemia then elective Catheterization. If pt. can finish the test without any positive findings then medical management or question if it is stable angina.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
