This is a non invasive kind of ventilation which requires clear airway(just lift the chin),apply the face MASK snugly to fit nostrils and mouth externally which is then connected to ambu BAG. Pumping the ambu bag can push the sufficient amount of air inside. ambu bag can be connected to oxygen port by a tube if oxygen port is available. Othewise ambu can take in the room air. basically this is used in any emergency before intubation of trachea. if intubated endotracheal tube can be connected to ambu bag directly before mechanical ventilator comes into the scene.
