1. depends on what kinda stone you are looking for...uric acid stones are not radiolucent and won't show up on plain film so you need a CT w/o contrast
2. I think it is 6 weeks, but I'm not entirely positive
3. BSE is not useless, that is why every women should be encouraged to perform one monthly
