Yes, medicine is pretty much the same everywhere. However, I think you underestimate a few
things:

- not everybody studies medicine the same way and/or takes the same types of exams, thus -
some people will need to learn how to do it here
- subjects that are not used are easily forgotten, so in order to pass these exams you have to
relearn a lot of material
- one may have been a good student; that does not make him/her a great test taker
- not everybody has common sense
-not everybody is able to see connections until material becomes ingrained
- practical skills/experience alone do not substitute for academic knowledge (which is easily
forgotten)

You look at it as if everybody is the same and just like you - that is not the case; everybody is
different and needs different tools to succeed.
