1)I studied for 3 months while I was working (bad move), and during 2 weeks before the test. Work and
study is not easy. In my opinion if you can, lock yourself in your room for 2 months and take the test
right after. Things that I've read in May I did not remember anymore now, I wish I could have studied
everything in a short period of time.
2)Surgery is mainly trauma including emergencies like testicle torsion and acute abdomen. I had some
GI and vascular surgery , one of each. Orthopedics was mostly what I've read in the NMS. BP is good for
Ped Ortho. Trauma of knee, shoulder and upper extremities.
3)NMS is good and I used to review the step 1 first aid.You have some of public health in each area in
the BP.
4)Yeah Psychiatry is important. Study it because it is not difficult and you can make some questions
there. the BP psychiatry is very good. To review only, again the first aid step 1 is a good source.
Good luck to you and let me know if I did not answer you questions.
