16-year-old girl.
This teenager complained of a light-brown, firm, slightly tender plaque on the flank. The lesion was
preceded 3 months earlier by a pink to violaceous, asymptomatic patch. The patient was otherwise healthy.

Physical Examination
An approximately 10 x 15 cm firm, atrophic, hyperpigmented patch with sparse hair on the
flank.Laboratory Data:None were obtained.

Histopathology:
Biopsy showed an abundance of thick collagen bundles extending to the lower dermis. There was minimal
inflammation and an absence of hair follicles.

What is your diagnosis?
A: Erythema ab igne
B: Becker's nevus
C: Morphea
D: Cutaneous lupus
