In ventricular fibrillation:
A. the carotid pulse is extremely rapid and thready
B. which is unresponsive to treatment profound hypokalemia should be suspected.
C. EKG confirmation is vital before DC shock is administered
D. cardioversion should be synchronized with the R wave in EKG
E. immediate lignocaine therapy avoids the need for cardioversion
