A patient you are following in the hospital is not responding to appropriate doses of phenytoin therapy(blood levels=1.8mg/dl).The decision is made to begin phenobarbitone therapy immediately.The doctor requests you to suggest a loading
regimen for this 70kg male patient to achieve a blood level of 2.0mg/dl within 24 hours(volume of distribution of phenobarbitone= 0.75l/kg).your suggestion would be;

(a) 15mg
(b) 150mg
(c) 1.5mg/kg
(d) 1000mg
(e) it is not possible to calculate regimen without additional data

please give an explanation/calculation to your answer.
thank you
