Kicked out of a US medical school for failing Step I
USMLE 3 times, I have
finally passed with 222 in the carribean. My highest
score was 156; my
previous scores were 144 and 148. The US school I
attended didn't give me
a 4th chance so I transferred to AUA School of Medicine
and did the 5th
semester and then took the USMLE K.O. Review program in
This course offered me everything; and their notes was
key to me passing.
I got close to 90% of my exam questions from the K.O.
Program notes. Of
course there were questions on the test that you
couldn't have read about
anywhere but that was in the minority.
I took the USMLE K.O. 3-week course and then studied
the notes about 10
weeks after; knew the material cold and did USMLE
World. World helped
prepare me well but it was more challenging than the
actual test, which is
good. If you can handle World you can do the real test.
My only regret is
I studied the big stuff and overlooked some petty petty
basics that caused
me points because I thought they were too easy to
appear on the real
thing, but there it was.
Anyway I made it and I'm happy.
