I'm studying genetics and i don't understand this question about ASO probe...
the most commom mutation for cystic fibrosis is deletion F508, which can e detected using ASO. if the normal and mutant sequences for this region are:
NORMAL 5' AAG ATT TTT TGT ACC 3'
MUTANT 5' AAG ATT TGT ACC 3'
Which of the following probes would most likely be used to detect the disease?
answer: 5' GGT ACA AAT CTT 3'
