crossed the 5 year period ..

plz can anyone help me in this regards......i graduated in 1999 and since then due to personal reasons have been sitting at home..gave step 1 an year back but could not clear but now i am trying to appear for the 2008 match.....what are the areas i need to fear when i apply for residency?.....will i not get all the choices of residencies?....what is the real scene beyond all the myths....angelman i have seen u help people....plz help one more person....thank u.
