Sad reality. I'll never be an Internist.
I have too many USMLE attempts. I consider myself a good, or may I say excellent doctor. Experienced, hard working, accurated diagnostic skills, good interpersonal skills, a team player, but none of this really matters when it comes to residency spots.
How can this be possible?,i can fit in any residency, work as hard as any one,but they dont know that, because dont have the time to really read my CV or my excellent LORs. Most of them just see thru the USMLE transcript and put you aside from the interview list. They have to may applicants 200 - 300.
Im not giving up yet, but is still difficult to digest.
