based on your culture or origin or whatever you want to call it, right? here is what is wrong with it - check out the requirements for residency - they mention scores, experience, passing steps but nowhere is there "culture" . let your accomplishments or work speak for itself. how would you feel if let say a chinese or an indian PD will hire chinese or indian residents because they share the same culture? if you don't understand simple things like this i cannot help you. good luck to you anyway, but speaking from experience (i am a foreign-educated resident in a predominantly american program) i am telling you it does not work this way (well most of the time it doesn't)
