Nisha, do yourself a favor and pay attention to what Venky has written to you. don't make any threats unless you're fully prepared to follow through. hospitals have lawyers on staff and millions of dollars to sustain a lawsuit with merit. termination of a resident is hardly a reason to sue someone. i am absolutely positive they have documentation of all your mistakes (it may be blown out of proportion, but believe me, it is there) as well as every time you were late or argumentative, etc. my advice to you is the same what Venky said - work hard, keep a very low profile and try not to attract any attention to your persona and start actively looking for another program. i would strongly discourage you from trying to talk to your seniors or involving any attendings into your personal conflict. your fellow residents will stay away from this because they don't want to lose their jobs and the attendings value their relationship with the PD far more than they care about you. be realistic and most importantly don't trust anyone and don't expect any favors from anyone. count only on yourself. and - this is REALLY IMPORTANT - don't talk or discuss your situation with anybody. your PD is hostile because someone (whom you probably trust) has relayed your complaints to him/her. best of luck to you
