The other thing regarding PTAL is to call the California board and ask your questions there. Nobody can better guide you than those who put together the rules and eligibilities to access a document. Like I said in my book, I am amazed at how few people actually call to get their questions answer.
You guys should call ecfmg, the California board and all kind of institutions to get the most updated response.

Read it at least 3 times you will see how you can have your questions answered all in 1 place.
Like I said in that book, LORs should be updated, I gave instructions exactly on how to request the letter how to negociate to get the best possible letter because LORs are the second most important aspect of the application after the scores, it is critical to get it right.
