IMG, old graduate, certified nephrologist back home that came to the US for IM in a community pgm, board certified J1 now almost green card holder (waiver). Besides of my age (37) only drawback is no research and not being from a univ program. Despite that applied renal this year 7 IVs in at least three top university programs. So sad.... after all I did not match anywhere.
Cannot leave this underserved area for at least one more year till I complete my GC process and want to apply for 2010 in the coming months.
Please give me advice on how to improve my chances for this year, is it so competitive that I would better look for a PC or hospitalist job? Help is appreciated.
