is ludicrous. What exactly do you know about this guy, and what can he do for you that you yourself can't? Just use your common sense, this is the best advice you'll ever get from anyone, free or otherwise. I hate going back to this topic, but just for illustration purposes check out his communications with a guy named Khan, OK? Khan posts that he is depressed, and this Rock guy immediately asks him for his phone number or email address. First, let me advise you all no NEVER give out personal information online - you never know what they're doing with it. Second, pray tell what exactly can this Rock character do for the desperate Khan? Khan wants interviews, plain and simple. Can Rock get him any? Unless he has been upgraded to Program Director since yesterday, I don't see how. All the paperwork for application has been submitted, so no changes can be made there. Rock cannot change his stats. Best he can do is give support and encouragement, but in my humble opinion no one should charge for that. Jesus himself did not see fit to charge money for his counsel, so why should some Rock character think he's entitled? By the way, I am not religious at all, for all you there who think I'll launch into proselytizing.
So again, use your common sense and ask for advice qualified people. If you have questions about your visa, check out the USCIS website - that is your best bet. If you have questions about a particular program, try to get in touch with a resident in that program, he/she is your best bet.
And don't forget, it ain't over till it's over, the fat lady hasn't sung yet. Be hopeful and kind, and good karma will find you. Good luck to everyone,
Laura
