It would certainly be better than nothing, but if you can, try to do observerships in academic environments instead. These are hard to get, but it would be more strongly considered as USCE. The only downside is that you don't get paid. Medical Assisting pays, so it's not a bad idea. Goodluck! Don't lose hope, there's still post-match scramble, and it's only Dec. 1! You may still get IVs, esp. because plenty of people that prematch will cancel theirs. The programs will be calling to invite more people. Good luck!
