hello everybody,
I am Fmg with Gc. I actually matched with GC program in match 2006. I signed the contract and all essential papers that university sent me.
I was actually on conditional greencard when i was matched. My card expired within one month of match but i already filed petition to remove my conditions and to issue my permenent card. immigration issued me an extension letter as proof of my status for 1 year to cover processing time.I clearly indicated to program in all papers that I have to fill that my card expired. They misunderstood and when I went to orientation and discussed about it, program told me your card is expired .we only accept card. we don't know what is conditional card. we don't accept any letters or mails. they withdrew spot and didn't give any proof in writing about the reason. The director told me if you apply next time with the card i will give you the position. I read all the papers and contract papers but i didn't find anything showing there policy of not accepting any letters or mails. I received my permenent card and applied but now PD is not responding. I am thinking about to report this issue in NRMP and get my position back.
My questions are,
1. Is that a violation of match policy and agreement?
2. what could be the effects of it?3.
3. suggest how should I do I do all this? Do I need lawyer?
