final ecfmg certificate.

hi... in 1998 when usmle was a paper and pen test i scheduelled a step 2 exam, but never appeared for the exam... now i need to know, when i get my ecfmg certificate, will this be shown on the final certificate?? is this considered an attempt? in some states they consider failure to apear for an exam an attempt... how do they find out? does ecfmg tell them somehow?? i need to know because i have several attempts in step 2 i recently passed, but if the number of attempts is more than 4, i will be denied medical licensure.i actualy took the test 3 times, but there was a time where i didnt go to the exam at all.any advice? does anyone have a similar situation?
