before you refer to psych e.g. in fatigue cases (their chief complaint won't be depression as this is a diagnosis), you want to do some initital tests first to rule out other causes, e.g. thyroid panel, electrolytes, CBC (for anemia), glucose (DM), etc...Even the case is most likely depression, you still want to do the above tests first.
