regarding BP check in orthostatic hypertension

do we have to check BP in lying & sitting position in cvs for hypertension? i think we can not do that in limited time & i'm not sure but i think that in usmle orientation cd they told us that if we need to check blood pressure for cvs exam but we have to write the same vital sign as is present in door way information. if any one has some idea please let me know.
