if pt is already posisie for hiv and using condom then first appreciate that he is doing the right thing, and then say something like mr xyz as you know hiv is a STD, and you are doing right thing using condoms make sure you used condoms whenever you have sexual encounter in that way your partner will be safe,also we will ask our pt that does he let his partner know that he is hiv positive because its very important and if pt say no than we need to offer to help him getting his hiv status check by blood test and offer him to encourage ur partner to come and get him or herself checked .
