In usmleworld, they say that you are supposed to give advice to patient in case of a common cold "you should rest, take Tylenol and drink a lot". Are we really supposed to say that? I thought step 2 CS was only the ability to take the history and perform PE but not about treatment....Any thought about this? Moreover are we supposed to say the patient that we might admit him/her into the hospital or just say "we are going to do some tests and then we'll see"?
