I just got back to my armchair and desktop after my CS Exam in Chicago a couple of hours ago...One question that kept dogging me ever since my exam was that in a patient in whom I had to examine the hip, I checked for tenderness and range of motion at the hip joint without actually removing the patients underwear but I was almost done with my encounter when I thought that maybe I shud inspect the Hip joint as well so I gently slid a portion of the underwear down with the patient in the lateral position to partially examine the hip joint....SHUD I HAVE DONE THAT OR NOT...I know that we r barred from doing genital/pelvic examination but I made sure that the sp's pelvic parts were not exposed...I dont know but its giving me nightmares to think that I might be penalised for that....PLZ ADVISE...
